Midland Whippet Club 30.08.2024 Championship Show.

It’s always an honour to be invited to judge our breed at Championship Breed Club Shows, thank you to the Committee for this day on which I had the privilege of judging so many quality bitches. Thanks to them and my stewards for looking after me so well all day and keeping the ring running smoothly.

It leaves me to thank all exhibitors for bringing their bitches for me to judge, a memorable day, some hard decisions to make, Limit and Open in particular, one after the other, quality bitches, wishing I could place many more than 5.

Our ring was next to the whippet ring of the City Of Birmingham CH Show, beautifully set out and of a good size to easily accommodate some of the bigger classes, making it possible for exhibitors to follow both events. Just one short delay when exhibitors were to be in the two rings, unavoidable, but it didn’t cause any problems.

Luckily my co judge, Liz Winstone, and I were in agreement for the top placings as our referee was not available at the end of our judging's.
